Star Kid (Second Picture) :
Star Kid is the starting line of my journey experiencing Mania in a way. I mad this piece in 2022 after starting to experience manic episode. The piece was essentially about the distress and unorganized chaos of manic episodes... The negative.

Materials : Beads, Clay, Acrylic Paint, Acrylic Paint Markers, clear gloss finish

Star Kid's Child (First Picture) :
This piece was the finish line for me. Made almost a year later, I started to see the beauty in mania. It was a reflection of the first piece, a mirror. This second piece represents the beauty organized chaos.

It's about controlling my manic episode and seeing them as beautiful. Mania doesn't come in one specific form, which is why I used ton of different mediums and materials... Such as : acrylic paint, oil paint, paint markers, jewelry rings, pictures, rocks (from childhood home), mini canvas', a beads. I wanted to make a star looking out over a bridge jus enjoying life, so I decided to make the bridge out of old baby photos to show my journey. I made a giant jellyfish flying around as they represent wake-up calls, intuition, and being in flow. I then used a rock from my childhood home for the eyeball of the jellyfish to make it that much more special to me. I wanted to to still be confusing and jumbled (like the first), but then when you look at it and learn to understand it, you see the beauty in the mess I have created.
