Clash of the Times

Organic, colorful, shapes to create a 60's feel for this piece on dysphoria/life progression.

At the time I was elevating my style fashion wise. I was really inspired by other time periods of style, and how they overlap over time. I painted two head growing off of a leg. I made the blue girl have bamboo earrings referencing the late 80's, while having the green character wear neon glasses and a bobbed wig, referencing the early 2000's. I also used a stiletto for the shoe, paying credit to the 1960's. The background was inspired by the 1960's mod bathrooms that were always bright and colorful. I later outlined all of this with acrylic paint markers to give it more of a fluid shape.

The odd placements of the head on the leg has lots to do with the misplacement felt when one has no personal style at all, or how one may feeling during the process of finding it.
