The watercolor and acrylic painting is about dealing with what you ask for. The drawing shows a clock with the numbers 555 (time representing change... time to change) stabbing a blue (depressed) girl in the back, while she drinks a bowl of alphabet soup. The idea is essentially that this girl asked for the soup, yet still is not satisfied. The clock doesn't let her sit in this dissatisfaction and makes her drink the soup, hinting that because she wanted it so bad, it is now her responsibility to finish it. This simple algorithm applies to all aspects of life... We ask and ask, but when we receive what we asked for all that comes to mind is what to ask for next. It's a repeating cycle that needs to be stopped, changed.
In this particular illustration the soup algorithm refers to a relationship of love this character is trapped in, hence her heart shaped pupils. A black widow hangs over her, a spider that leaves its mate behind to start a new life. time is ticking, and it's time for this character to make some life changes.
