I'm Just Tired

Materials : Bristol board, PrismaColor colored pencils

I drew this after I had been in AP Art (high school) for a couple of weeks. At this time I was working hard on making college level pieces for class, going to work at a retail store, as well as my personal portfolio. I was feeling like a machine and I was extremely tired. I drew exactly that, I drew a blue clown character choking the life out of another, malnourished looking, character. I really wanted it to look like the person being squeezed was getting the life sucked out of them because that's how I felt with my energy. I used bright colors to make the drawing look like when you have a bunch of blood rushing to your head and everything is just colors. To get this pigment, I used PrismaColor colored pencils and pressed really hard. I was extremely exhausted, but drawing this helped me release a lot at the time.
