This acrylic painting was created to be a reflection of my mind while going though a manic episode. Being diagnosed with Mood Dysregulation Disorder, a disorder that makes me intensely irritable, and comes with manic episodes... I wanted people to feel the discomfort, irritability, and constant aching that slowly started to make me feel crazy. I wanted this character to look in immense pain, both mentally and physically, because at the time that was all I was experiencing. To achieve this I used deep and rich colors such as blue and red. Outlining with silver paint as well as paint markers made it simple for things to stand out and create contrast.
