Tired Extension

Both characters in the drawing are feeding off of one tube, but what they don't know is it is connected to the other. They don't know this because they look away from each other... They are not paying attention in their relationship. Each character is feeding off the other, essentially tearing them down. The characters are tired and malnourished, but will never leave each other because they share a connection.

It shows how two people will stay connected just because they have been for so long. I have fallen victim to this many times, and honestly, it is because I fear change... which is a commonly overlooked emotion.

I chose to do this in graphite pencil to enhance the feelings of one noted distress, sadness... monotone.
